The majority of students go to law school to make positive change for the people of our country, but only a small minority end up in actual pro-people positions that advance the interests of working people. What are the structural issues in law schools and the legal profession that bring about this outcome? How does our current approach to the law and judiciary entrench existing power and keep ordinary people down? How can we work together to address these issues and move past the corporatist, mercenary-like values so often inculcated in members of the bar?
Join us for a conversation on systemic injustices in the legal system and how legal culture works to remove values and morality from public policy–and how we can work together to build something better.
The event will take place at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT on Thursday, March 20th. Have questions? Reach out to our Organizing and Network Director, Steve Kennedy, at steve@peoplesparity.org. We hope to see you there!
