LAWYERS MARCH FOR DEMOCRACY URGES
‘COURAGE OVER CAPITULATION’
FROM THE COURTS, THE LEGAL COMMUNITY, AND CONGRESS
Lawyers, Jurists, Law Students, and Elected Officials to Rally at Supreme Court to Defend the Constitution and the Rule of Law
Washington, D.C.- As Democratic leadership and eight Senate Democrats face outrage over their shutdown surrender, legal professionals and defenders of democracy will gather to call on those who have taken an oath to the Constitution to have the courage to stand up for democracy.
On November 15 at 1:00 PM, attorneys, law students, and legal advocates will gather for a powerful rally outside the U.S. Supreme Court to declare what should be obvious: No one is above the law–not even the president. Amid the Administration’s ongoing attacks on the U.S. Constitution and the Supreme Court’s active participation in furthering authoritarianism, legal professionals are building a movement to defend the Constitution, the rule of law, and equal justice.
