People’s Parity Project Applauds Senate Confirmation of Nicole Berner to United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit

Following today’s Senate confirmation of  Nicole Berner to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, People’s Parity Project’s Policy & Program Director Tristin Brown released the following statement:

“Nicole Berner is an excellent addition to the Fourth Circuit bench and exemplifies the best of the Biden administration’s promise to diversify the federal bench. Berner brings a wealth of experience and intellect to her new role, as well as a passion for upholding the rights of all of us, not just the powerful few. Her career-long fight for the rights of working people as a labor attorney and her service as general counsel for the Service Employees International Union makes her uniquely qualified to understand how our justice system impacts workers, especially in a time where workers’ rights remain under sustained attack.

“Throughout her career and confirmation hearing, Nicole Berner has and continues to exhibit why she is eminently qualified to sit in this seat. She is extremely intelligent, incredibly experienced, and absolutely deserving of this moment and feat. Our nation is better for having her as a public servant and we look forward to her presence on the Fourth Circuit.”
