The Senate Must Stop Trump’s Judicial Nominations

The following statement is attributable to Molly Coleman, executive director of the People’s Parity Project:

“A president who disregards the rule of law and threatens judges should not be given a blank check to shape the judiciary. We must stop Trump’s attempt to fill the federal bench with radical, far-right lawyers who are committed not to upholding the rule of law, but to furthering his pursuit of unrestrained power.

“Donald Trump has 3.5 years left in his term, but the judges he is attempting to install on the bench could advance his authoritarian agenda for decades to come. The Senate must use its power to stop or slow down all of Trump’s judicial nominations before his authoritarian legacy becomes our great-grandchildren’s problem.”
